Welcome to the Compendium of the Silver River
This is a living sci-fi world building project by D.E. Gladestone, an amateur writer and devoted science fiction nerd. The intention is to create a both a homage to and a deconstruction of classic Sci-fi worlds, as seen in Star Wars, Star Trek, Mass Effect, and so on. With a focus on alien cultures, the logistics of interstellar governments, semi-hard science technologies, black and grey morality, and defying expections as well as tropes commonly associated with the genre. This wiki is a collection of the author's notes, as currently developed, and will grow and change as he figures out what the heck he is doing. Constructive criticism, suggestions, and even simple commentary are all welcome. The author hopes something communal can eventually come of this, akin to the old Star Wars EU, once the foundation of the universe is in place.
It should be noted that the author has no experience when it comes to editing and organizing wikis, and thus this may not be as professional as others seen on this site. Nonetheless, the author is doing his best to create an understandable and reasonably well laid out wiki here. Help with improving that is also welcome, if not encouraged. Every writer needs an editor, after all.
